What we do

From routine vaccinations to soft-tissue surgery, we handle most of what your pet needs in-house — with the same familiar team every time.

Our services

Everything your pet needs, close to home

Routine appointments
Vaccinations, health checks, microchipping, parasite treatment, and the everyday questions that don't need an emergency. Same-week appointments are the norm.
Dentistry
Scale-and-polish under anaesthetic, extractions, and dental imaging — plus honest advice about when a procedure is needed and when it can wait.
Soft-tissue surgery
Spays, neuters, lump removals, and most routine soft-tissue procedures handled in-house. We refer out for orthopaedics and complex cases — and we'll tell you why.
Senior pet care
Tailored health plans for older animals: blood work, joint support, weight management, and quieter consult times for nervous patients.
End-of-life care
Quiet, unhurried euthanasia appointments, available in the practice or at home. We schedule these in dedicated slots so you're never rushed and never share a waiting room on the hardest day.
Nurse clinics
Free post-op checks, weight clinics, claw-clipping, and new-puppy/kitten consultations with our nursing team — no vet appointment required.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can't find what you're looking for? Ring us on 01451 000 000 — a real person will pick up.

How do I register my pet?

Use the form below or call us on 01451 000 000. We'll need your previous vet's details so we can request your pet's history — most transfers are sorted within a week.

Are you taking on new patients?

Yes — we cap our patient list deliberately so we can keep the same-vet model working, but we currently have capacity for new dogs, cats, and small mammals. We'll be honest with you the moment that changes.

How much does a consultation cost?

A standard consultation is £58. Senior health checks (30 minutes) are £85. Nurse clinics are free for registered patients. We'll always quote for procedures up front and never start without your agreement on cost.

Do you offer payment plans?

For procedures over £400 we can arrange interest-free payment over three months through our partner, PetPlan. For unexpected emergencies, talk to Margaret — we'd rather work something out than have an animal go without care.

What about emergencies and out-of-hours?

During practice hours, ring us first on 01451 000 000 — we'll see emergencies the same day, every day. Out-of-hours (evenings, weekends, bank holidays) is covered by our partners at Vets Now Cheltenham, 01242 000 000. We'll have your pet's full history transferred to them automatically.

Do you treat exotic pets — reptiles, birds, fish?

We treat rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, ferrets, and chinchillas. For reptiles, birds, and fish we refer to a specialist exotics practice in Oxford — happy to arrange the referral.

Can you do home visits?

For end-of-life care, always. For other appointments, we limit home visits to elderly or seriously infirm patients within a 10-mile radius — the practice is better equipped for most things and gentler on stressed pets than you might expect.

Do you offer pet insurance?

We don't sell insurance, but we strongly recommend it. We're a recognised practice for all major UK insurers (PetPlan, Bought By Many, Animal Friends, Direct Line, Tesco) and we handle direct claims for procedures over £500 so you don't pay up front.

Ready to register your pet?

We're currently accepting new dogs, cats, and small mammals. Fill in the short form and we'll be in touch within one working day.
